The mission of the Young Artist Program is to provide comprehensive chamber music training for dedicated young instrumentalists, vocalists, and composers. The Young Artist Program aims to educate, motivate, and inspire excellence and artistry at every level.
The Young Artist Program offers the following opportunities to program participants:
- Ensemble performance: chamber music and large ensembles.
- The opportunity to study with YAP Artist Faculty and MGSA Collegiate faculty.
- Young Artist Forums presented by leading performing artists, instructors and members of the music industry
- Performance opportunities at Rutgers University and in the community.
Available Ensembles:
All ensembles require a minimum enrollment of 3 participants. Duos are considered on a case-by-case basis.

- Violin Ensemble
- Classical Guitar Ensemble
- Cello Ensemble (view syllabus)
- Saxophone Ensemble
- Flute Ensemble
- Brass Ensemble
- String trios, quartets, and larger ensemble configurations
- Mixed ensembles including combinations of the following instruments: strings, woodwind, piano, brass, classical guitar, and harp

Meeting Dates: Sundays; October 1, 15, and 29; November 19; December 3 and 17; January 7 and 21; February 4 and 25; March 4 and 25; and April 8, and 22
Concerts: Rutgers Day, date TBA; Sunday, April 29, 2018

Tuition: $750 for all ensembles other than cello ensemble; $825 for cello ensemble.
